Church and Convent of Saint Chiara

It already existed in 1442. The period of greatest splendour runs back to the beginnings of 1700, in when the Church was renovated, have one single nave, with baroque decorations and many objects of art: church furnishings, paintings, a cane organ, pieces of sacristy furniture. As a result of the earthquake of the 1783 the Convent was demolished and its assets confiscated. The facade of the Church and part of the Convent has decorations sculptured in marble chalk.
The castle of Carl V.
The castle of Crotone, commonly called the Castle of Carl V, was built as a rudimental fortress on the ancient Greek acropolis, in order to defend the territory from foreign invasions. They were later modified in order to improve the defence and became one of the most powerful military fortresses of Italy.
The Dome of Crotone.
The Dome of Crotone is a building constructed around the XIV century with exteriors that recall the classic style. The inside is made up of three naves, two small lateral ones and the big one in the centre. At the end of the right nave there is the Large Painting of the Madonna di Capocolonna, Patron of the city, and other numerous paintings.
The church of the Immacolata
In 1554 it was made up of a modest temple with a crypt below. In 1738, in the substrate one of the same oratory of the year 1500, the church was built that was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and was consecrated in 1777. The inside with a nave, present baroque decorations. It has a cycle of 7 paintings that date back to the 1800s dedicated to the life of the Virgin Mary and a Cross of the 1600s.

Hera Lacinia
Of the ancient Sanctuary of Hera Lacinia today only one constructed column remains of the temple of the 470 B.C. approximately. However it is possible to find the essential elements that reveal the presence of what was considered the most important sanctuary of Greece.
Archaeological Museum
Many of the elements recovered in the course of the diggings today are conserved in the Archaeological Museum of the city.
